10 Patients Killed in Fire at Hospital Trauma Care Unit in India

NEW DELHI: A fire broke out in the trauma care unit of a hospital in Odisha, India, claiming the lives of 10 patients and injuring 5 others.

According to Indian media, the incident occurred at SCB Medical College and Hospital on Monday morning, when 23 patients were undergoing treatment in the hospital’s intensive care unit.

Authorities said the fire appears to have been caused by a short circuit, though a full investigation is underway to determine the exact cause.
