QUETTA: Security forces conducted a successful intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the outskirts of Quetta, killing 10 terrorists on Wednesday.
According to security sources, the operation was launched in the mountainous region of Ghaza Band following reports of the presence of India-sponsored militants. A heavy exchange of fire took place during the raid, in which two security personnel were injured.
Large quantities of arms and ammunition were recovered from the slain terrorists, who were reportedly involved in multiple terrorist attacks in the region. Security officials reaffirmed that law enforcement agencies remain committed to eradicating terrorism from the country.
The incident comes amid a recent surge in terrorist activities in Balochistan. In response, security forces have intensified operations against militant networks.
Just a day earlier, six terrorists, including a suicide bomber, were killed during an attack on the Frontier Corps (FC) Headquarters on Quetta’s Hali Road. That attack left 10 people, including two FC personnel, martyred and over two dozen others injured.
