12 Arrested For Attempting Illegal Travel to Europe

SIALKOT: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested 12 passengers attempting to travel illegally to Europe.

According to the FIA Director, the Immigration Cell conducted the operation at Sialkot Airport, successfully apprehending the individuals before their departure.

The suspects were reportedly planning to travel from Uganda to Libya and then illegally enter Europe. They possessed Ugandan visas and were in contact with travel agents facilitating the operation.

The arrested individuals are from Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Sialkot, and Sheikhupura. The FIA emphasized that timely action prevented the illegal journey.

The FIA has urged citizens to refrain from using illegal routes for international travel, warning that such attempts can lead to serious legal consequences, including arrest, prosecution, and potential bans on future travel.

Authorities also reiterated their commitment to monitoring airports and border points to prevent human trafficking and other illegal migration activities.
