RAWALPINDI: At least 12 terrorists were killed in two separate operations conducted by security forces of Pakistan in North and South Waziristan.
In a statement issued in Rawalpindi, the Inter-Services Public Relations stated that six personnel of the army were also martyred while fighting the terrorists in the two operations.
The ISPR said that on September 19 the security forces observed a group of seven terrorists trying to enter Pakistan from Afghanistan. Later, the security forces traced the same terrorists in Spin Wam area of North Waziristan. The security forces conducted an operation and killed all the seven terrorists.
In the second incident, a group of terrorists attacked a check post of the security forces is in Lada area of South Waziristan. The security forces bravely fought the terrorists during which six Jawans were martyred. As many as five terrorists were eliminated by the security forces.
The ISPR said that arms and ammunition were recovered from the terrorists. The security forces carried out an operation in the areas to ensure that there were no more terrorists.
