ISLAMABAD: At least 13 terrorists, affiliated with Indian-backed proxy group ‘Khawarij,’ were killed in a series of operations by security forces in different areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) stated on Sunday that security forces conducted these operations on December 12 and 13 in various regions across KP.

In the first operation, security forces carried out an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the Mohmand district. During the operation, the security forces targeted a hideout of the Khawarij, resulting in a heavy exchange of fire, which led to the deaths of seven militants.

A second IBO was conducted in the Bannu district, where security forces killed six more terrorists.

The ISPR stated that clearance operations were ongoing in the region to eliminate any remaining foreign terrorist elements in the area.

It added that under “Operation Resolve,” security forces will continue their counter-terrorism efforts, aiming to eradicate foreign-supported terrorism from the country completely.
