14 army men martyred in terrorist attack on their vehicles
Security forces personnel were going to Ormara from Pasni when they were targeted, says ISPR.
QUETTA: At least 14 army men were martyred when a group of terrorists attacked their convoy on way to Ormara from Pasni in Balochistan on Friday, the army authorities said.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations, the terrorists were hiding along the road and targeted two vehicles of the troops. As a result, 14 Jawans embraced martyrdom, it confirmed.
Of late, terror attacks on security persons have increased in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provinces. However, the ISPR said that the army was fighting the terrorists and would continue its operations till their elimination.
Meanwhile, caretaker Foreign Minister Jalil Ababs Jilani on X networking platform said, “Strongly condemn the cowardly terrorist attack on our soldiers which resulted in the martyrdom of 14 brave sons of the soil. Such acts are utterly reprehensible. Our thoughts and prayers are with families of the martyred and injured. Pakistan stands resolute against terrorists.”
