14 Arrested While Attempting to Illegally Travel to Iran by Sea

KARACHI: The Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) Composite Circle Gwadar has arrested 14 individuals who were attempting to illegally travel from Pakistan to Iran via sea routes.

According to an FIA spokesperson, the detained suspects belong to various districts of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Among them, four are from Gujranwala, two each from Faisalabad and Hafizabad, five from Lower Dir, and the remaining three from Swabi, Mardan, and Malakand. The arrests were made from the coastal area of Jiwani.

Initial investigations revealed that the individuals intended to travel onward to other countries from Iran through illegal channels. A case has been registered against them, and further investigation has begun.

The FIA stated that a crackdown against human traffickers and illegal border crossing networks is ongoing, and all available resources are being utilized to apprehend those involved in such activities.
