LAHORE: As many as 16 people allegedly involved in arson attacks on military installations on May 9 were today handed over to the Army for trial under the Army Act 1952.
The 16 arrested persons were produced before an Anti-Terrorism Court which ordered their handing over to the commanding officer of the army.
The commanding officer had pleaded to the terrorism court for custody of the suspects in the attacks on corps commander house.
The court reserved its ruling on the plea and later accepted the request and handed over the suspects to the army.
The suspects included for member Punjab Assembly Mian Akram Usman.
