RAWALPINDI: Security forces have conducted a successful operation in South Waziristan. Two wanted terrorists were killed and one was injured in the operation.
All three terrorists were involved in bomb-making, terrorist training and attacks on security forces. The terrorists belonged to the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan Sajna group.
According to ISPR, security forces acted on a tip-off in Nargosa district of South Waziristan. Two terrorists, Usman Ali and Waheed alias Lashti, were killed and one was arrested in the operation. All three terrorists were involved in bomb-making, terrorist training and attacks on security forces.
Terrorist Usman Ali was also involved in the October 14, 2020 attack on security forces. As a result of this attack, Captain Omar Cheema, two COs and three soldiers were martyred while four personnel were injured.
