22 Militants Eliminated in D.I. Khan Intelligence Operation

RAWALPINDI: Security forces carried out a successful intelligence-driven action in Dera Ismail Khan, resulting in the elimination of 22 militants associated with the Indian-backed group Fitna al Khwarij.

According to a statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), troops precisely targeted the militants’ hideout, engaging them effectively during the encounter. A sanitization operation is currently underway to ensure no remaining Indian-sponsored militants are present in the vicinity.

The operation forms part of the broader “Azm-e-Istehkam” counterterrorism initiative, approved by the Federal Apex Committee under the National Action Plan, aimed at eradicating foreign-backed terrorism and strengthening internal security across the country.
