RAJANPUR: As many as 24 more notorious gangsters, fearing death during the ongoing operation by police and security forces in the Kacha area of Rajanpur, have surrendered to the police authorities.
This brings the total number of gangsters who have given themselves up to 211. According to DPO Muhammad Imran, one of the most infamous gangsters, who had a bounty of one crore rupees on his head, the leader of the “Lond Gang,” Sadri Lond, has also surrendered. Prior to this, other gang leaders with similar bounties on their heads had surrendered, including six notorious gangsters.
The arrested criminals were wanted for serious offenses, including abduction for ransom, murder, and robbery, and were involved in numerous heinous cases. DPO Imran further mentioned that the police had cleared 80% of the Kacha area, and the remaining criminals in the region are also expected to surrender due to the increasing fear of the ongoing operation.
The arrested gangsters will be prosecuted according to the law. The authorities are also utilizing drone technology to target the criminals’ hideouts, and so far, 29 of their locations have been destroyed during the operation.
