25 Killed, Over 30 Injured In Bus Accident in Kabul

KABUL: At least 25 people were killed and over 30 others injured when a bus overturned in Kabul, authorities said.

The Ministry of Interior spokesperson, Abdul Mateen Qani, stated that the accident occurred on the highway in the Arghandi area, which connects southern Kandahar to Kabul, due to driver negligence.

Police and emergency services quickly reached the scene, and the injured were transported to nearby medical facilities for treatment.

This tragedy comes shortly after a similar incident last Tuesday in western Herat province, where a bus carrying returning refugees from Iran collided with a truck and motorcycle, killing 78 people, including over a dozen children.
