30pc increase seen in number of Pakistani students in US: report
Currently, there are one million international students studying in educational institutions of America, says official.
WASHINGTON: The United States of America has been one of the attractive destinations for Pakistani students pursuing higher education outside of their home country.
In the last two year, there has been a 30pc increase in the number of students from Pakistan in the educational institutions of the US. The increase was 16pc in tge year 2023.
This was stated in a report by the US State Department and the Institute of International Education.
In a statement, Pakistan’s Ambassador to the US Masood Khan welcomed the growing number of Pakistani students in American universities as encouraging. He said this number will be doubled in the next three years.
“The presence of male and female students from every region of Pakistan in American universities not only reflects the close bilateral relations in the field of education, but this trend is a guarantee of further strengthening of Pakistan-US relations in the future.”
A US official stated that currently there were over one million international students from different countries studying in the US educational institutions.
