32 Pakistanis Selected for Chevening Scholarships, Says British envoy

ISLAMABAD: British High Commissioner to Pakistan Jane Marriott announced that 32 Pakistani students have been selected for the prestigious Chevening Scholarships out of more than 8,000 applications submitted this year.

Addressing a farewell ceremony for the selected scholars, High Commissioner Marriott said, “The UK warmly welcomes those seeking education, and a bright future awaits Chevening Scholars. The mission to promote education between Pakistan and the UK continues.”

Highlighting the scale of interest from Pakistan, she noted that the 8,000 applications constitute one of the largest numbers received from any country, with only 32 applicants successfully selected.

“I congratulate all the selected students. Through Chevening and Commonwealth Scholarships, you will have an exceptional opportunity to learn, grow, and contribute to both your country and the global community,” she added.
