ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has reiterated the government’s willingness to engage in political dialogue, stating that negotiations with PTI are possible only if the opposition party demonstrates seriousness.

Speaking during a federal cabinet meeting, the prime minister made it clear that dialogue cannot proceed under illegal demands or political pressure, stressing that only legitimate issues can form the basis of talks.

He noted that PTI leaders and their allies had recently been calling for negotiations and said the government remained open to discussions if sincerity was shown. He added that he had consistently expressed this stance in the National Assembly.

The prime minister said that political consensus among all parties was vital for Pakistan’s stability, development, and economic progress.
