According to airport flight information sources, both domestic and foreign airlines are among those affected. The cancellations and widespread delays have caused significant inconvenience for passengers.
Of the cancelled flights, 14 were from Allama Iqbal International Airport, eight from Islamabad International Airport, 16 from Karachi Airport, four from Multan Airport, three from Quetta Airport and two from Sialkot Airport.
Sources said the cancellations were linked to the combined impact of Iran-US tensions and the disruption in Britain’s flight operations system.
Passengers travelling to Europe and the Middle East have been advised to check the latest status of their flights before leaving for the airport.
The technical disruption in Britain’s flight operations system has persisted for the past three days, adding to difficulties for travellers, while regional tensions have further complicated efforts to maintain normal air operations.
Dozens of flights operating to and from destinations via Türkiye, Qatar, Dubai, Bahrain, Jeddah and Riyadh were also delayed by between three and five hours, leaving passengers facing prolonged waits at airports.
