KARACHI: On the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, a total of 50 flights have been cancelled and 20 flights delayed across Pakistan.
The cancellations are primarily due to low passenger loads and operational issues.
Among the Middle East-bound flights, 12 flights from Karachi to Bahrain, Doha, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Dubai, and Najaf were cancelled.
From Lahore, eight flights to Abu Dhabi, Doha, Fujairah, and Sharjah were also cancelled. Islamabad saw the cancellation of 20 flights to Ras Al Khaimah, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Kuwait, Fujairah, Al Ain, and Bahrain.
Domestic operations were affected as well, with seven flights from Gilgit, Skardu, and Karachi being cancelled, along with one flight from Lahore to Karachi.
Additionally, 20 flights from Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad to Jeddah, Riyadh, Sharjah, Istanbul, and Medina experienced delays.
Passengers are advised to check with their airlines before traveling and allow extra time for potential delays during this busy holiday period.
