50 Militants Killed in Sambaza Counter-Terrorism Operations: ISPR

RAWALPINDI: Security forces have eliminated a total of 50 militants during a series of counter-terrorism operations in the Sambaza area of Zhob District, near the Pakistan–Afghanistan border, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The operations, conducted between 7 and 9 August, targeted suspected militant hideouts in the region.

On the night of 10/11 August, a follow-up sanitization operation was carried out in surrounding areas to ensure no hostile elements remained.

During this latest engagement, three more militants—allegedly linked to India—were killed. Security forces also recovered weapons, ammunition, and explosives from their possession.

The ISPR stated that the successful operations have brought the total number of militants killed in the past four days to 50. It reaffirmed the armed forces’ commitment to safeguarding Pakistan’s borders and preventing any attempts to undermine peace, stability, and national progress.
