55 Flights from Pakistan to Middle East Cancelled Amid War

ISLAMABAD: As tensions continue in the Middle East, at least 55 flights from Pakistan were cancelled on Thursday, affecting passengers travelling to several regional destinations.

According to aviation sources, the cancelled flights included departures from Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad.

Officials said 14 flights from Karachi to Doha, Manama, Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Najaf were cancelled.

Similarly, 14 flights from Lahore to Doha, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Jeddah, Manama and Sharjah were also cancelled.

Meanwhile, 25 flights departing from Islamabad to Doha, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Dammam, Manama, Riyadh, Jeddah and Sharjah were cancelled as well.

Sources said that due to the ongoing situation in the Middle East, the total number of flights cancelled from Pakistan to Middle Eastern destinations over the past 13 days has reached 17,039.
