7th Round of Strategic Dialogue: Pakistan, China to Further Enhance Ties

BEIJING: Pakistan and China have pledged to enhance their coordination on both bilateral and multilateral platforms, reaffirming their commitment to mutual cooperation.

This understanding was reached during the 7th Round of the Pak-China Foreign Ministers’ Strategic Dialogue, which took place in Beijing today.

The dialogue was co-chaired by Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Ishaq Dar.

During the meeting, both sides underscored the vital importance of their enduring friendship, emphasizing its role in promoting peace, stability, and prosperity both within the region and globally. They conducted a comprehensive review of the entire spectrum of Pak-China bilateral relations and engaged in detailed discussions on key regional and global issues.

Key topics discussed included the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), trade relations, multilateral cooperation, and expanding people-to-people exchanges. Both nations expressed their shared desire to further these areas of cooperation, which are seen as critical to the continued growth and strengthening of their partnership.

In addition to these discussions, the two sides agreed to mark the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China in a significant and fitting manner, underscoring the historic nature of their bilateral ties.
