Begum Shamim Akhtar’s dead body left for Pakistan, Shahbaz Sharif, Hamza released on parole

Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif’s mother Begum Shamim Akhtar’s funeral prayers were offered in London. After the funeral prayers, his body has been sent to Pakistan.

Begum Shamim Akhtar’s body will arrive at Allama Iqbal International Airport in Lahore at 6.45 am on a British Airways flight on Saturday morning.

On the other hand, Shahbaz Sharif and Hamza Shahbaz have been released from Central Jail Kot Lakhpat on five-day parole to attend their mother’s funeral prayers and burial. Shahbaz Sharif and Hamza Shahbaz have been released on parole by the Punjab Home Department.

The PML-N had requested for the release of Shahbaz Sharif and Hamza Shahbaz on parole for 14 days, however, the Punjab Cabinet and the Punjab Chief Minister approved their release on payroll for five days, according to the Home Department. Shahbaz Sharif and Hamza Shahbaz have been released on payroll on humanitarian grounds. Their release on payroll will be from November 27 to December 1.
