ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has imposed a hefty fine on the state machinery for non-recovery of Ghulam Qadir, a citizen abducted six years ago.
Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani of the Supreme Court heard the case regarding non-recovery of Ghulam Qadir, a citizen who was abducted six years ago. The High Court directed the Secretary Home, Secretary Defense, SP Investigations and SHO Golra Police Station Imposed a fine of Rs.
Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani, on the request of the brother of the missing citizen Ghulam Qadir, ruled that if the citizen was not recovered within 30 days, departmental action would be taken against all those responsible, the court said. And the relevant institutions did not play their role.
It should be noted that Ghulam Qadir was abducted on August 28, 2014 in a car by 5.6 persons from Golra police station. Earlier, the court had also imposed a fine of Rs 20 lakh on the Home and Defense Secretary in the Omar Abdullah and Suleiman Farooqi cases.
