Acting Islamia College University VC takes charge

PESHAWAR: Professor Dr Ali Muhammad Khan assumes charge as the acting vice chancellor of Islamia College University Peshawar till the appointment of regular incumbent. In this regard, a notification has been issued by Higher Education Department.

After issuance of notification, Prof Dr Ali Muhammad has assumed the charge of Acting VC.

Dr Ali Muhammad brings with him an impressive academic and administrative background, boasting 25 years of teaching and administrative experience. Upon assuming his role as acting Vice Chancellor, Dr Ali Muhammad held an introductory meeting with University Registrar along with other staff. He committed to putting in unwavering efforts day and night to foster the development and progress of the university.

Prof Dr Ali Muhammad said that ICP is an excellent educational institution with a glorious traditions and it is an honor for him to be appointed as the Vice Chancellor of one of the oldest and prestigious institutions of the Subcontinent.

He said that the government of KP had given him the responsibility of the administrative affairs of Islamia College University for which he thanked the government for this trust and he would try to fulfill this responsibility as well in a good way.

He stated that his first priority was to solve all the problems related to the teachers, employees and students of university, which they are facing in the last few years ,

He said that he would play his due role for further development of the university. He said that he would make strong efforts and to further improve the quality of education and lay the foundation of such initiatives which would improve the global ranking of the university further.

Professor Ali Muhammad said that all affairs of the university would be run in accordance with the rules and regulations and collective efforts would be made in making the university one of the top educational institutions in the world.

Professor Ali Muhammad who holds a PhD in zoology from the Punjab university and also holds vast experiences in teaching.

On the occasions deans ,head of different departments and administrative officers extend their congratulation and Hope Mr Ali Muhammad would be beneficial to the university and work with dedication and honesty for the development and prosperity of the institution.
