Progress of work reviewed on ADB-funded projects in KP

PESHAWAR (PR): A delegation of Asian Development Bank (ADB) met Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur and discussed development projects being executed with the cooperation of the bank in the province.

Timely completion of the ADB assisted development projects in different potential sectors including road infrastructure, water, agriculture, energy, urban development and health were discussed in details.

Development projects in the pipeline for next three years, in collaboration with the bank also came under discussion. It was agreed to start implementation of the projects as early as the prerequisites are completed.

Priority projects included Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sustainable Urban Mobility, Rural Roads Development, Cities Improvement Project and different schemes under the Food Security and Livestock Management Program.

The chief minister directed the quarters concerned to immediately complete the prerequisites so as to start implementing the aforementioned projects without any delay.

The participants also reviewed the projects proposed for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa under the five years Country Partnership Strategy 2026-30, and agreed to further expand the partnership in the social sectors.

Talking to delegates, the chief minister said the provincial government had always appreciated the support of Asian Development Bank in the social sectors, adding that providing quality social services to the people has been the top most priority of the government.
