NEW DELHI: Afghanistan trounced England by 69 runs in the World Cricket World Cup match played here on Sunday after the batting line of the defending champion crumbled against Afghan bowlers.
Batting first, the Afghan side scored 285 runs all out in 49.5 overs. in reply the England team were all out for 215 runs in 40.4 overs. Withe defeat of England, Pakistan’s ranking among the 10 teams remained unchanged at number 4 while England dipped one point to fifth.
