Afghanistan Beat Pakistan by 18 Runs in Fourth T20 Match

SHARJAH: In the fourth match of the T20 series, Afghanistan defeated Pakistan by 18 runs at Sharjah.

After winning the toss, Afghanistan elected to bat first and posted 169 runs for the loss of five wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Ibrahim Zadran top-scored with 65 runs, while Sediqullah contributed a solid 64.

For Pakistan, Faheem Ashraf was the pick of the bowlers with four wickets, while Saim Ayub bowled economically, taking one wicket for just 18 runs in his four overs.

Chasing a target of 170, Pakistan managed 151 runs for the loss of nine wickets. Haris Rauf scored 34, Fakhar Zaman made 25, Salman Ali Agha added 20, and Sahibzada Farhan contributed 18 runs.

Afghanistan’s bowling attack proved too strong, with Fazalhaq Farooqi, Rashid Khan, Mohammad Nabi, and Noor Ahmad claiming two wickets each.

Earlier in the tri-nation series, Pakistan had beaten Afghanistan by 39 runs in the opening T20 match.
