DHAKA:Federal Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal held a meeting with the newly-elected Prime Minister of Bangladesh Tariq Rahman.
Ahsan Iqbal represented Pakistan in place of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif at the oath-taking ceremony of the new Bangladesh premier.
During the meeting, both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening bilateral relations across all sectors.
Minister Iqbal conveyed congratulations and best wishes of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to Prime Minister Rahman on his election. Additionally, he extended a formal invitation for Prime Minister Rahman to undertake an official visit to Pakistan.
The meeting underscored the mutual desire to enhance cooperation and deepen ties between the two countries, with a focus on expanding collaboration in various fields of shared interest.
