Air Chief Lauds PAF’s Resolve at Martyrs’ Day Ceremony

ISLAMABAD: Chief of the Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, has said that the Pakistan Air Force’s victory in Marka-e-Haq, Bunyanum-Marsoos is a testament to its unwavering resolve and operational capability to safeguard the country’s aerial frontiers.

He made these remarks while addressing the central Martyrs’ Day ceremony held at Air Headquarters in Islamabad on Sunday.

The Air Chief said that Martyrs’ Day stands as a powerful symbol of the extraordinary bravery, exceptional professionalism, and unmatched spirit of sacrifice demonstrated by the Armed Forces of Pakistan. He highlighted that the Pakistan Air Force draws strength from a proud legacy of courage, dedication, and selflessness, built upon the sacrifices of its heroes.

Paying rich tribute to the martyrs, Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu honored the memory of those who laid down their lives in defence of the motherland. He stated that their supreme sacrifices are a guiding light for future generations and a source of national pride.

Reflecting on evolving regional and global threats, he affirmed that the Pakistan Air Force remains fully prepared and committed to its mission with singularity of purpose, fully aware of the fast-changing security dynamics.

The Air Chief reiterated that the PAF continues to advance its capabilities across space, electronic warfare, cyber technologies, and other niche domains, while also focusing on indigenous defence production to strengthen Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

He also expressed unwavering solidarity with the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), reaffirming Pakistan’s support for their legitimate and indigenous struggle for the right to self-determination.

Concluding the ceremony, Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu laid a floral wreath at the Martyrs’ Monument and offered Fateha for the departed souls, paying homage to the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service of the nation.
