AJK Premier Outlines Development Plans For Rawalakot

RAWALAKOT: Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Faisal Mumtaz Rathore emphasized the government’s ongoing commitment to completing critical development projects and addressing public concerns across the region.

Speaking at a gathering at Circuit House Rawalakot, PM Rathore highlighted several key infrastructure and welfare initiatives. He assured the public that necessary funds would be allocated for completing various vital projects, including the district hospital building, the Chirdh water supply scheme, Direk Dam, and the district jail building, according to reports from official sources.

To tackle the pressing water shortage in Rawalakot, he announced that a feasibility study would be conducted immediately to address the issue. He also confirmed that the construction of the medical college building would proceed, with payments for the required land already being arranged.

In addition, the Prime Minister confirmed the establishment of a vocational educational institute in the region, designed to boost local capacity building. A special development package was also announced to support these initiatives and improve institutional strength.

“These announcements are not just promises; they will be executed on the ground,” PM Rathore said, emphasizing that tangible results would soon be visible.
