WASHINGTON: Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States Rizwan Saeed Sheikh has called upon Pakistani-Americans to play an active role in strengthening the longstanding relationship between Pakistan and the United States.

Extending heartfelt greetings on the country’s 79th Independence Day, Ambassador Sheikh described the day as a moment to renew the pledge to protect Pakistan’s freedom.

He recalled that this year’s celebrations come just three months after what he referred to as the “Battle of Truth,” during which Pakistan’s armed forces, backed by a united nation, achieved a significant victory.

Quoting Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah — “There is no power on earth that can undo Pakistan” — the ambassador emphasized that the true objective of the recent triumph would be realized when Pakistan becomes economically strong, ensuring the nation’s defense, integrity, and dignity remain inviolable.

Highlighting the importance of economic collaboration, he said such efforts could serve as a pillar for regional and global peace.

Addressing the Pakistani diaspora, Ambassador Sheikh noted that the recent “Bunyan al-Marsoos” operation had not only elevated Pakistan’s standing on the world stage but also opened a promising new chapter in Pak-U.S. relations.

“Our future looks bright, but achieving lasting progress requires our joint efforts to nurture and advance bilateral ties,” he said, expressing gratitude for the community’s continued support.
