ISLAMABAD: A PIA aircraft carrying 179 Pakistani students from Kyrgyzstan landed at Islamabad International Airport on Tuesday morning.
Moreover, the national flag carrier has announced to operate two more flights to Bishkek to bring back students still stranded there. The students were evacuated after they remained stuck up in their hostels after mob attacks on their hostels a few days ago.
It may be mentioned here that after the violence, a private plane brought back 170 students and landed at Lahore. Officials said that so far 540 Pakistani students have been brought back from the Central Asian country.
Meanwhile, the students after their return told media that a large number of students were still stranded in Bishkek and wanted to return as soon as possible.
Though they were safe and the situation was also under control, the students wanted to leave the country fearing more such attacks and poor security and safety measures in their hostels.
On Monday, the education minister of Kyrgyzstan expressed regrets abd apologized over the mob attacks on international students in her country and said that their security would be ensured.
