Apex committee reviews National Action Plan in Balochistan

Security of foreign nationals employed on CPEC and non-CPEC projects also discussed.

QUETTA: The Provincial Apex Committee here today revised the National Action Plan, law enforcement operations, anti-smuggling and anti-narcotics operations in Balochistan.

Moreover, security of foreign nationals employed on CPEC and non-CPEC projects was also reviewed at a meeting of the committee chaired by caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar, Balochistan Chief Minister Balochistan Ali Mardan Khan Domki and Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir.

The forum was briefed about the revised National Action Plan, law enforcement operations, anti-smuggling and anti-narcotics operations in the province.

The Prime Minister said initiatives taken at the federal level should have a trickle down effect in each province. The Prime Minister underscored the need for synergy among all relevant departments for gainful effects of the initiatives.

Addressing the meeting, General Asim Munir said the army will provide full support for enforcement actions against illegal activities to check pilferage of resources and economic losses to the country.
