RIYADH: The Arab League and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) have strongly condemned Israel’s plan to impose military control over the Gaza Strip.
The Israeli Security Cabinet approved Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s proposal for a military takeover of Gaza two days ago.
Countries including Pakistan, Australia, the United Kingdom, and Germany have openly opposed the Israeli plan to take control of Gaza.
Now, both the Arab League and the OIC have stepped forward to denounce the plan, stating that such a forceful occupation violates international laws. In their joint statement, they also condemned the ongoing Israeli aggression in Gaza.
Hamas Response
The Palestinian resistance group Hamas criticized Netanyahu’s statement, describing it as an attack on the ceasefire negotiations in Gaza.
Hamas declared that it will never allow Israel to gain full control over Gaza. The group accused Israel of seeking to massacre Palestinians and forcibly displace them, claiming that Netanyahu is willing to sacrifice hostages for his own interests.
Hamas vowed to continue fighting against the enemy until the end.
