MARDAN: Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry has said that Pakistan has taken effective measures against terrorism and extremist elements.
He said Army and the nation will stand as a united, impregnable wall against any aggression by the enemy.
The DG ISPR made these remarks during an interactive session with teachers and students from various universities and religious seminaries in Mardan. Participants included representatives from Abdul Wali Khan University, Women University, University of Engineering and Technology, and several madrassas.
During the discussion, Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif highlighted key national and regional issues, including the ongoing security situation, Pak-Afghan border tensions, and Pakistan’s counter-terrorism efforts.
He reiterated that the nation and its armed forces are fully prepared to respond to any form of hostility with unity and determination.
Teachers and students expressed deep respect for the martyrs and veterans of Pakistan’s armed forces, stating that the DG ISPR’s address helped clear many misconceptions about the military. The educators acknowledged the Pakistan Army’s vital role in promoting peace and stability across the country.
Students from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa declared their unwavering support for the armed forces, affirming their readiness to stand shoulder to shoulder with soldiers in safeguarding national sovereignty.
They also noted that the session provided valuable awareness about how anti-state elements spread propaganda against Pakistan and its military through social media.
The DG ISPR’s visit aimed to strengthen national cohesion, foster dialogue between educational institutions and the armed forces, and promote collective responsibility toward peace and national development.
