KAKUL: Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir on Saturday issued a clear warning to Afghanistan’s Taliban leadership, urging them to take decisive action against militant groups using Afghan soil to launch attacks on Pakistan.
He also cautioned India against any miscalculation in a nuclear environment, emphasizing that Pakistan is fully prepared to defend itself on all fronts.
Speaking at a ceremony at the Pakistan Military Academy in Kakul, the Army Chief delivered strong messages to both the Afghan Taliban regime and Indian military leadership.
“The enemy’s use of Fitna-e-Hind and Fitna-e-Khawarij as hired guns exposes its cowardly face,” he said. “We urge the people of Afghanistan to choose mutual security over perpetual violence.”
Field Marshal Munir stressed that the Taliban regime must rein in militant proxies with sanctuaries inside Afghanistan, which are being used to carry out attacks within Pakistan.
The Army Chief cautioned New Delhi that there is no space for war between the two nuclear-armed neighbors.
“The enemy should remain under no illusion. The Pakistan Army is vigilant on every front, and the nation’s flag will always fly high,” he declared.
He further said that Pakistan’s defense doctrine is based on credible deterrence and constant readiness. “This professional army has already demonstrated its strength in conventional warfare and will deliver a much harsher response than expected if any aggression is repeated.”
