ABBOTTABAD: Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR), Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, has reaffirmed that the Pakistan Army remains resolute in its commitment to national defense, warning that any form of external aggression will be met with a swift, strong, and decisive response.
Addressing an interactive session with university teachers and students in Abbottabad, the military spokesperson discussed a range of topics, including Pakistan-Afghanistan relations, the country’s internal security situation, and the ongoing fight against terrorism.
Lieutenant General Chaudhry emphasized that Pakistan has taken effective and comprehensive measures to combat terrorism and extremist threats, underscoring that the armed forces stand as a pillar of strength and stability for the nation.
The event was attended by a large number of academics and students who expressed deep respect for the martyrs and veterans of the Pakistan Army. Participants praised the military’s sacrifices and reaffirmed their confidence in its role in safeguarding the country’s sovereignty.
Dr. Ikramullah Khan, Vice Chancellor of Hazara University, lauded the army as “a true symbol of patriotism,” saying the nation “stands shoulder to shoulder with its defenders.”
During the session, teachers voiced concerns over the spread of misinformation and hostile propaganda aimed at misleading the youth. They stressed the importance of educating students with credible and fact-based information to counter such narratives.
Students also expressed pride in the armed forces, noting that the DG ISPR’s detailed responses helped dispel doubts about the country’s security policies and clarified misconceptions spread on social media.
