Artists gather to launch telefilm on child rights

PESHAWAR: A special screening of the reformative telefilm “Naway Sehar”, focusing on providing skills and employment opportunities for children and women was held at Peshawar Press Club.
Arranged by Help Organization in collaboration with Helvetas Pakistan, the event saw the participation of a large number of artists and representatives of civil society.
The telefilm featured stellar performances by renowned actors, including Noshaba, Dr. Sarwat Ali, Aftaar Hussain, Naik Khan, Aram Sahar, Siraj Akbar, Uzair Sherpao, Imtiaz Toti, Sajjad Khalil, and Samad Shad, which were highly appreciated by the attendees.
The president of the Artists Association, Tariq Jamal, Project Director of Helvetas Shazia Hina, and the film’s director and producer Aftaar Hussain were the guests of honor.
During the event, the artists shared their thoughts, stating that “Naway Sehar” is a reformative film emphasizing the need to rescue children from harsh labor, equip them with skills, and guide them toward a better future. The film highlights the issues of child abuse and the importance of improving their lives through education and vocational training.
The screening also included a musical segment, where artists entertained the audience with their performances, receiving immense applause. At the conclusion of the event, awards were presented to the artists for their outstanding contributions.
The participants lauded Helvetas Pakistan’s initiative, stating that such reformative films not only provide entertainment but also play a crucial role in raising societal awareness.
They expressed hope that more films and programs addressing social issues will continue to be produced in the future.
