Asian Games Women’s Cricket trophy goes to India

In a match for third position, Bangladesh Women beat Pakistan Women by five wickets.

HANGZHOU: In the ongoing Asian Games at Hangzhou in China, India’s Women’s Cricket team beat Sri Lanka by 19 runs and lifted the trophy.

Batting first, India Women set a target of 117 for seven wickets in the allotted 20 overs for the Sri Lanka Women team. In reply, Sri Lanka Women could score 97 runs for the loss in 20 overs. In the match for third position, Bangladesh Women beat Pakistan Women by five wickets.
