Assets of APHC leaders seized by occupying Modi regime

Kashmiri leaders say they will continue their struggle for freedom from the illegal Indian rule.

SRINAGAR: While illegal detentions and arbitrary arrests and killings continue in Kashmir, the occupying Modi regime has now started seizing assets of those leading the freedom movement in the held valley.

Observers say that this move is aimed at crippling the freedom leaders and force them into silence, especially when the Modi regime is set to go to polls this year.

According to a report by Kashmir Media Service, seven assets and bank deposits worth 500 million Indian rupees owned by leaders and activists of All Parties Hurriyat Conference have been seized by the occupying regime.

This latest assets occupation comes after the Indian authorities confiscated the headquarters of All Parties Hurriyat Conference in Srinagar and hundreds of houses and properties belonging to Hurriyat leaders and organizations. 

But many APHC leaders expressed their resolve to continue raising voice against the illegal Indian occupation of their area and the oppression and human rights violations perpetrated by the occupying forces.

The Kashmiri leaders said that many of their colleagues had been jailed in fake cases and one key leader, Yasin Malik, is awarded death sentence in a notorious jail in India.

The Kashmiri leaders have for long been demanding the UN to implement its resolution and ensure the right to self-determination fir the people of occupied Kashmir.
