RAWALPINDI: The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Rawalpindi has ordered the blocking of former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s sister Aleema Khan’s passport due to her repeated absence from court hearings.
According to reports, the directive was issued by ATC Judge Amjad Ali Shah in connection with the November 26 protest case. Both the NADRA and passport authorities have confirmed to the court that her passport and national identity card have been blocked in compliance with the court’s order.
In addition, the court has issued orders for Aleema Khan’s arrest and instructed that she be produced before the court on October 30. During the upcoming hearing, five witnesses have been summoned to record their statements before the judge.
Reports further indicate that arrest warrants for Aleema Khan have been issued six times in this case, yet she has failed to appear before the court on every occasion.
