According to police, the three women were intercepted while allegedly attempting to take the newborn out of the hospital nursery. They were stopped by hospital security personnel and relevant staff before they could leave the premises.
The suspects were initially handed over to the Karachi Company Police Station for questioning.
Police said that following preliminary investigations, the three women were subsequently transferred to the Women Police Station for registration of a case and further legal proceedings.
Authorities are continuing their investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the alleged attempted abduction and the suspects’ motive.
