LAHORE: Australia national cricket team defeated Pakistan national cricket team by 41 runs in the second One Day International at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore.

Batting first, Australia posted a total of 231 for 9 in their allotted 50 overs, setting Pakistan a target of 232 runs. In response, Pakistan were bowled out for 190 runs, falling short despite a brief middle-order resistance.

Pakistan’s chase got off to a disastrous start, losing early wickets and slipping to 58 for 5, which put them under severe pressure from the outset. Babar Azam managed only 16 runs, while the top order failed to build any significant partnerships.

Earlier, Australia’s innings was anchored by half-centuries from Cameron Green (53) and Josh Inglis (51), while Matt Renshaw contributed 43 runs to push the total past 230.

For Pakistan, Shaheen Shah Afridi was the standout bowler, claiming three key wickets, while Arafat Minhas picked up two wickets.

Australia’s disciplined bowling attack capitalized on the conditions, with pace and spin troubling Pakistan’s batting lineup throughout the innings.

With this victory, Australia leveled the three-match ODI series, setting up a decisive contest in the final game.
