ISLAMABAD: In a significant display of solidarity, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has once again reaffirmed his country’s unwavering support for Pakistan, congratulating Islamabad on its remarkable diplomatic success in the face of recent Indian aggression.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held a telephonic conversation with President Aliyev, expressing gratitude for Azerbaijan’s continued support and solidarity. The Prime Minister highlighted that both countries have always stood by each other like true brothers, and the recent exchange once again underscored the strength of their enduring friendship.
Expressing concern over recent provocative statements by Indian leadership, Prime Minister Sharif reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to upholding the ceasefire while emphasizing the country’s firm resolve to defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity.
President Ilham Aliyev welcomed the ceasefire between Pakistan and India, praised Pakistan’s efforts for peace, and extended heartfelt congratulations to the nation for its diplomatic success. He reaffirmed Azerbaijan’s commitment to further strengthening the fraternal ties between the two countries.
In a significant development, President Aliyev also accepted an invitation to visit Pakistan, marking a new chapter in the deepening bilateral relationship.
