LAHORE: Pakistan’s star batter Babar Azam will not be available for his team’s upcoming Big Bash League (BBL) knockout match.
Babar Azam has cut short his BBL campaign and returned to Pakistan after being called up by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for the national team’s upcoming series against Australia. As a result, he will miss the remaining matches for his Big Bash team, the Sydney Sixers.
Upon his return, Babar Azam expressed gratitude to his Big Bash team, saying he leaves with fond memories and had thoroughly enjoyed the league, but national duty required him to return home.
The Sydney Sixers also shared a statement wishing him well for his national commitments.
