BAJAUR: Security forces stopped a terrorist attack on a check post in Bajaur, killing 12 terrorists.
The assault, carried out by the extremist faction Fitanah al-Khawarij, also claimed the lives of 11 security personnel.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) stated that the terrorists attempted to breach the check post’s defenses, but their plan failed. They detonated an explosive-laden vehicle against the check post wall, leading to casualties among the security forces.
Nearby residential buildings were damaged in the blast, resulting in the death of one young girl and injuries to seven others, including women and children.
Security forces are continuing operations to locate any remaining terrorists in the area.
