Bajaur Elders Decide to Expel Locals Found Harboring Terrorists

BAJAUR: In a grand jirga held in Salarzai tehsil of Bajaur, over 100 local elders and community leaders gathered to discuss the rising security concerns in the region.

The jirga resolved that anyone found sheltering terrorists will be expelled from the area to ensure peace and stability.

The elders strongly condemned any form of militancy and declared that terrorist groups will not be allowed to enter their communities. They expressed their firm commitment to defend their country and maintain law and order at all costs.

Meanwhile, a targeted operation is underway in 27 areas of Mamond tehsil in Bajaur, prompting the local administration to impose a three-day curfew. Citizens have been urged to stay indoors and limit their activities during this period to support the security efforts.

The decision and ongoing operations underscore the community’s determination to eradicate terrorism and protect the region’s peace.
