KARACHI: Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Traffic Karachi Pir Muhammad Shah has issued a stern warning to citizens, announcing that anyone caught riding a motorcycle without a valid driving license will face a fine of Rs. 20,000.

Addressing the media, the DIG emphasized that no leniency will be shown toward those violating traffic laws. He urged all citizens to keep their driving licenses updated and to follow road regulations strictly.

According to Shah, the speed limit for all types of vehicles — both small and large — has been set at 60 km/h. Motorists exceeding this limit will be issued an overspeeding ticket, he added.

The DIG said the new enforcement measures aim to improve road safety and reduce the increasing number of traffic accidents in the city.
