LAHORE: Boats carrying flood victims capsized in different Flood-hit Areas of Punjab. According to reports, one person went missing after drowning.
In Jalalpur Pirwala, Multan district, a boat carrying flood victims capsized with 19 people on board. According to rescue officials, 18 people were safely rescued, while a search operation is underway to locate one missing person.
The boat overturned near Obaro, close to South Quaid-e-Millat School, after transporting flood victims from Mouza Darab Pur.
In another incident in Alipur tehsil of Muzaffargarh, a boat carrying more than 10 flood victims capsized in the Lati Mari area.
Officials said the accident occurred when an additional person attempted to climb onto the already overloaded boat, causing it to lose balance. Fortunately, no casualties were reported, and all passengers were safely rescued.
Separately, in Bahawalnagar’s Basti Kalar Wali, a 12-year-old boy drowned in the Sutlej River, rescue sources confirmed.
