The actor stepped away from films after starring opposite Kangana Ranaut in the 2015 movie Katti Batti. He is now preparing to make his comeback with the romantic comedy Adhoore Hum, Adhoore Tum, directed by Danish Aslam.
Ahead of the film’s release, Imran confirmed his return while speaking about the upcoming project. He described the movie as a conscious response to the absence of certain stories and emotions in contemporary cinema, calling it a mature romantic comedy.
Imran said viewers who enjoyed his earlier romantic comedies, including I Hate Luv Storys, Break Ke Baad, Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu and Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, would also enjoy his new film.
The actor will share the screen with Bhumi Pednekar in the upcoming Netflix film, which is currently in post-production and is expected to be released in late 2026.
