A quarrel between two students over a petty issue led to violence against Muslims by Hindus in the Indian Rajasthan province today.
According to Indian media, two students of class 10th had a quarrel over a minor issue in the Odaypur city two days ago. After this minor incident, the municipal authorities swung into action and demolished the house of the Muslim boy after declaring it illegal and authorized.
The police in the same city also took action against the family and arrested the teenage boy along with his father.
Hindus in the city then took to the streets and not only protested against the Muslims but also attacked properties including houses in shops owned by Muslims.
On the other hand, police have imposed section 144 in the city and increased patrolling and deployment in many areas. However, the local administration and police failed to take action against the Muslim and protect their properties.
